Independent perspectives.
One reasoned conclusion.

How it works

From data to a reasoned conclusion.

Licensed and public data comes in on one side. Each perspective reads the data its question needs. Most names go no further. The few that reach a conclusion leave with the reasons for and against, the sources, and what would prove them wrong.

Schematic. Sources and tickers shown in the animations are illustrative placeholders — they are not conclusions, recommendations or results.

The council

Each question, answered from its own data.

The council examines every name from independent analytical perspectives, each asking one question of its own data. Where the data says nothing, “No edge” is a valid answer.

  1. Fundamentals

What does the business earn, and are the reported numbers real?

SEC filings, XBRL financials, earnings calls
  2. Credit

Can the balance sheet carry its debt through the next maturity?

Maturity schedules, interest coverage, Treasury curve
  3. Valuation

What is the business worth, with the assumptions stated?

Treasury curve, equity risk premium, analyst forecasts
  4. Flows

What are insiders, funds and other disclosed holders doing?

    Form 4, 13F, 13D / 13G, N-PORT, STOCK Act disclosures
  5. Positioning

Options chains, short interest, dark pool data
  6. Macro & liquidity

  7. Sentiment

Independence

They never see each other’s work.

Each perspective works without seeing the others. When unrelated data points to the same name, that agreement carries information — and the case is examined further. The council does not vote.

Schematic: two perspectives with unrelated data — insider filings and fund holdings — reach the same name separately. Names, figures, confidence values and the ticker are illustrative.

The conclusion

One conclusion, with its reasons.

Agreement alone proves nothing. A case is argued, concluded with named reasons, stress-tested, approved by Hide Capital and then checked against dated statements of what would prove it wrong.

  1. 01

    Independent analysis

Independent perspectives assess the name from their own data, without seeing one another. Where the data says nothing, the answer is “No edge”.

  2. 02

    Both sides

The case for and the case against are argued before anything is concluded.

  3. 03

    Conclusion

A reasoned conclusion — Constructive, Cautious or No edge — names which arguments were accepted and which were rejected.

  4. 04

    Independent challenge

The conclusion is stress-tested against what the analysis may have missed. What it cannot answer from primary sources weakens it or withdraws it.

  5. 05

    Editorial review

Hide Capital reviews the conclusion, its reasons and its sources, and approves it before anything is published.

  6. 06

    Falsifiers & measurement

Each conclusion carries dated statements of what would prove it wrong. Conclusions are measured against the S&P 500 over time — a discipline, not a claim of results.

Stage 04 · Independent challenge

Not every draft survives.

Every draft conclusion is stress-tested against what the analysis may not have weighed, and it has to answer from primary sources. Some drafts stand, some are weakened, and some are withdrawn and published as No edge.

Illustrative. TK01–TK03 are placeholders, not securities. The challenges and outcomes show the idea; they are not published conclusions or results.
